Board and Staff

Housing Solutions is led by an 11-member Board comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a range of expertise.  Michael McGowan of Scituate has served as Housing Solutions’ President since 2007.

Housing Solutions has nine affiliated nonprofit organizations and participates in four limited partnerships and one joint venture development partnership, all related to the ownership of our affordable housing developments.  The organization has 50 full-time staff persons at offices in Kingston and New Bedford.

Carl Nagy-Koechlin

Executive Director
Since assuming the role of Executive Director in 2009, Carl Nagy-Koechlin has overseen the strengthening of Housing Solutions’ financial position, and increased impact and leadership in the region. Carl has over 25 years of community development and housing experience, including 12 years as Executive Director of the Fenway CDC in Boston.

Leo Sheehan

Chief Financial Officer
Leo Sheehan has extensive experience serving as the CFO at various local banks and nonprofit organizations. Most recently Leo served as a consultant CFO and comptroller of the largest community development corporation in the state. With that extensive experience, he has been instrumental since 2009 in building Housing Solutions’ strong financial position. He has also been on the board and served as the treasurer for NeighborWorks Southern Mass. for 20 years.


Angelica Gomez

Director of Rental assistance

Angelica Gomez leads the Rental Assistance Department that supports over 2,500 families by providing Federal and States housing subsidies. She received a B.S from Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia and her M.S. from Northeastern University. Prior to joining Housing Solutions, Angelica oversaw several homeless and domestic violence shelters in Boston while working for Crittenton Women’s Union as an Assistant Director of Supportive Housing. Angelica developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector since working with mixed-income communities in Massachusetts for over seven years.


Kathleen Facchini

Director of Housing Services

Kathleen Facchini leads the Housing Services Department, which administers over $1 million dollars in RAFT assistance, assists over 10,000 household annually with information and referral, housing counseling or education in one of our housing workshops. She also oversees the SSTAP domestic Violence transitional program and Greater Plymouth Area Supportive Housing Program to assist homeless families stabilize into permanent housing. Kathleen previously worked for the Old Colony YMCA as the Program Director of the Transition to Independent Living Program.

Marguerite Pujalte

HomeBASE Project Manager

Marguerite Pujalte joined Housing Solutions in June 2001 with extensive banking and real estate sales experience. She currently heads our HomeBASE program, which provides flexible financial assistance to homeless families for housing and stabilization with the goal of increased economic self-sufficiency for participating families.  Her extensive real estate knowledge has been instrumental in assisting landlords and tenants through the often complicated housing assistance process.
